Financial Assistance for Abortions
Dr. Amy Cousins provides quality services at very reasonable rates, as well as accepting most insurance and NYS Medicaid which is free for women who qualify. She also assists with financial assistance for abortion fees and travel funds.
Dr. Cousins and the staff at Access For Women work hard to keep the cost of abortion very low while still offering respectful, compassionate care.
Dr. Cousins accepts most insurance plans with prior verification including NYS Medicaid. Women in New York State may qualify for free abortion services through the presumptive eligibility program of NYS Medicaid. Apply at your local family planning or Planned Parenthood or call your County Department of Social Services to see if you qualify. The cash fee is discounted for patients who are not covered by insurance. An additional discount is available for patients with the Pennsylvania Medical Card.
Cash or money orders and VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are accepted as payment; personal checks are not. Fees are expected to be paid in full at the time of the appointment. Please call so that we can quote you an accurate fee. I
For those in need, we have an abortion fund (Aphrodite Access Fund) and work closely with other abortion funds who may be able to fund part of the fee. For the name of an abortion fund nearest you, go to www.nnaf.org.
We also have limited transportation assistance for those patients in need who are travelling more than an hour to get to our office. Please call us for more information.
